Private lessons give the student a chance to improve his or her technical and musical ability at their own pace and at an accelerated rate. This eliminates a lot of frustrations he or she may encounter. In addition to achieving the students musical goals, private lessons also give them a chance to build a one on one relationship with other percussionists outside of the normal classroom setting. Private lessons also introduce an unexplored avenue in which public schools can't due to time constraints, which is solo playing.
